Stephen M. Harnik Sponsors Pen America Event Headlined by CNN Legal Analyst and New Yorker Legal Col

On Feb. 27, 2020, Stephen M. Harnik and his wife Deborah, hosted Jeffrey Toobin, celebrated CNN legal analyst and New Yorker Magazine columnist and author of best selling books including The Oath: The Obama White House and the Supreme Court (2012) and The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court (2008) in a literary fundraising event to support www.pen.org. The evening produced a lively discussion about hate speech, campus free speech, internet dis-and mis- information and propaganda, and of course, foreign interference in the upcoming presidential election. Also in attendance was Jeffrey’s wife, Amy B. McIntosh, currently CUNY’s Associate Vice Chancellor, and who was an Acting Assistant Secretary in the Department of Education in the Obama administration.
